The President’s approval rating is now at 41% and there are many factors contributing to this record low. President Obama made it clear in his state of the Union that he would not be trying very hard to work with the legislative branch anymore and would instead use executive orders to dictate policy. This is potentially an issue that has affected his popularity with some of the people. The President’s recent attempts at dealing with Russia/Crimea issue has also not contributed to his popularity. Despite the president’s warnings and rhetoric, Russia has moved forward and totally occupied Crimea. The response to Russia’s actions has not been effective. The recent health law debacle has also been a smear on President Obama’s image.

The weight of these issues may have an affect on the outcome of the upcoming November elections. Only time will tell.
