Immigration issues don’t stop in the US. Austria is having similar issues with migrants. They recently said that they would not allow migrants into the country who attempted to enter through Germany. A while ago Germany did the same thing, who turned back people who tried to enter through Denmark or Sweden, both of which have also tightened it’s borders.
Since September of 2015 thousands of migrants from the Middle East have come to Germany since the war and poverty began. They flowed through Austria and Slovenia to reach the German nation. Germany has taken in 1.1 million people, which has lead to the issue of housing and sexual assaults by young male asylum seekers.
Migrants have the option of applying for asylum in the country, but acceptance has died a lot recently. Fear of these migrants are increasing, but why? People are fleeing nations in turmoil. They are looking for peace, safety and a place to take their families. Why are we so nervous of people that we don’t know or aren’t like us. All they are looking for is safety and a place their family can be to get away from all the horrible things happening in the Middle East. Should we be more considerate to these foreigners, both in Europe and the US? Should we be more open to letting them into our countries? If they enter legally and peacefully, I don’t see why not.
