More and more, heroin addicts are collapsing and dying in public places; buses, libraries, fast-food restaurants, and even two parents in a McDonald’s play area in front of their two children. It’s forcing places with public bathrooms to have problems with people leaving dirty needles, and increasingly, their unconscious bodies.

Frankly, I think it’s awful that talk is spreading about creating places like those that exist in Europe, where addicts can inject themselves with the drug under medical supervision, especially those that are homeless. I think much more needs to be done to get these people into rehab facilities and into homes and not to spend money creating places that will just continue to feed the problem. What do you think is the best solution?
