On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program, Trump explained where he gets his foreign policy strategy from:

“My primary consultant is myself and I have — you know, I have a good instinct for this stuff.” He also said, “I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things,”
This statement suggests that Trump, with his limited to non-existent foreign policy experience, considers himself competent because he has “said a lot of things” and “speak[s] with himself.” Would he then consider himself competent in other areas he has no experience in?

The reason a president has a cabinet is to consult with others who are more experienced in their perspective fields and then make the best decision based on their suggestions. If elected, would Trump use a cabinet? Or would he consider his “very good brain” sufficient to make important decisions without consulting others?
