This year, about 185 cars have been set ablaze by unidentified arsonists. In the last few months, these arsonist attacks have increased dramatically, causing fear among the Danish government and people. The arsonists don’t seem to care about the make or quality of the car, burning equal amounts of shiny, new cars and rusty, old ones.

Some people are starting to think the arsonists belong to a group of far-right, underclass individuals who are fed up with the immigration policies as the government has recently been changing it’s policies. However, one of the men that was caught was middle class, breaking down this theory.

Is there something the government should be doing? If the arson is related to the immigration policies, what is the government’s responsibility in responding?
