“We all have to understand that Russia will never give up.” ~Oksana Syroid

Remember when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 and Ukraine disagreed? Yeah, that’s still going on. The lack of media coverage disturbs me. More than 10,000 people have been killed in the undeclared war. Ukraine issued a cease-fire deal amidst negotiations in Minsk, Belarus back in 2015. It has yet to be respected by the pro-Russia separatists. The pact has resurfaced as Minsk II and, if fully implemented, would allow rebel factions to hold seats in Parliament. That plan is met with skepticism by the Ukrainian people: “Unfortunately, Russia has started this so-called hybrid war not to have it resolved in talks,” says Oksana Syroid, deputy speaker in Ukraine, foreseeing an offensive spreading further into Europe.

I’m not saying WWIII is tomorrow. I’m just saying that this war ain’t cold no more.
