Ford has been struggling recently as gas prices have been variant and consumers are looking for the best choices. This is causing demand to shift to smaller cars rather than SUVs and Trucks. In order to maintain the company (and not go bankrupt) Ford has decided to start building some cars in Mexico. Many are concerned with them giving jobs in Mexico while we need jobs here. However, Ford has addressed the issue that they will remain fully staffed here in the U.S. but also adding more jobs in Mexico.
I don’t see this as a problem. They are not decreasing the number of jobs here in the U.S. but are staying afloat so that they can continue to provide for Americans’ needs. If they can build our products at the same quality but cheaper for them, I say go for it.
