The Chapecoense, a nationally recognized soccer team in Brazil, were on their way to the Copa Sudamerica, when their plane experienced an electrical failure. Just after they made an emergency call, the plane, carrying 77 people, crashed into the mountains. Only 6 survived: 3 players, 2 crew members, and 1 journalist.

The team was from a small city, so everyone from the city knew someone who died in the crash. The city is in shock and nobody knows how to react or move forward yet.

The entire country of Brazil has experienced lots of tragedy this year including the impeachment of the president, economic struggles, and political corruption.

How should the government address such tragedies? How can the people and government work together to decrease the tragedies experienced in their country?
