On Sunday, at the Saban Forum, John Kerry addressed other senior policy makers from America and Israel, making a bold declaration. He stated that Israel’s building on lads owned by Palestine is hindering peace efforts. Kerry is convinced that while Israel continues building on Palestine lands, they will be unable to make other peace agreements. He added that an agreement with Palestine will be necessary to any other agreements and therefore concluded that Israel is deliberately thwarting future peace agreements.

This can be quite alarming for America because we recently signed a $38 billion military aid deal with Israel. The last thing America wants is less peaceful relations that will only eat more and more at the massive aid we have agreed to give.

“I’m not here to tell you that the settlements are the reason for the conflict. No, they’re not,” he said. “But I also cannot accept the notion that they don’t affect the peace process, that they aren’t a barrier to the capacity to have peace.

“And I’ll tell you why I know that: Because the left in Israel is telling everybody they are a barrier to peace, and the right that supports it openly supports it because they don’t want peace.”
