Poaching is a prevalent problem in Africa. Even on wildlife preserves, many animals are being illegally killed. It is incredibly difficult for the preserves to be constantly patrolled, especially at night and poachers take advantage of this. Drones may be the answer. They have been considered before but they are expensive and were banned in many countries in Africa. As technology becomes more commonplace though, conservationists may be able to fit it into their budget. As they figure out how to best take advantage of technology, hopefully they can save some of the animals being heavily poached in the area.
