Following the controversial deal struck between Iran and the United States concerning the right to develop nuclear weapons as well as utilize nuclear energy, Iranian leaders have begun the hefty process of bringing the country up to code. This has not been without controversy in the country. Protestors took to the street to protest the new deal which is a normal occurrence in Iran. However, this time Iranian leaders have condemned the action claiming they never filed for a permit.
Although they face a major opposition in their country it seems clear that Iranian leaders seem to be working to make sure every part of the deal is upheld. The large amount of opposition is rare as well as the Iranians complying with all American demands in any sort of deal.
United States officials will be watching the reform process closely in the next few months and years. Republicans will also be watching trying to find a way to undermine the Obama presidency to take control of the White House and reverse this deal in order to maintain relations with Israel. This is an unsettling time in the United States and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
